Description

Description
HM Digital TDS Hydro Tester - TDS-3 is a handheld TDS meter for checking dissolved solids in hydroponics and water purification. This hydroponic water testing tool helps growers and water-quality users read ppm levels quickly, making it easier to understand solution strength before plant issues appear in the grow routine.

The TDS-3 is built for practical everyday measuring, with a rugged handheld design, an easy-to-read LCD screen, and a hold function that saves the reading for convenient viewing. It is suited for hydroponics, water purification, aquaculture, and other water-quality checks where a compact dissolved solids meter is useful.

This HM Digital tester measures total dissolved solids in ppm and includes a built-in digital thermometer for temperature reference. It also includes automatic temperature compensation, which helps the meter adjust readings across changing water temperatures for more consistent results.

For reliability, the TDS-3 is factory calibrated with a 342 ppm NaCl solution and uses an NaCl EC-to-TDS conversion factor. The meter has a TDS range of 0–9990 ppm, with fine resolution at lower readings and x10 indication at higher readings, giving shoppers a clear fit for routine hydroponic monitoring and general water testing.

The auto-off function helps conserve battery power during busy workdays, while the included black vinyl carrying case with belt clip protects the meter between readings. This is a good fit for growers, store teams, and water-quality users who want a simple handheld TDS meter for hydroponic solution checks, water purification checks, and portable ppm testing.
How to use
General Guide:
How to use the HM Digital TDS-3 tester.

Remove the protective cap and turn the meter on using the power button. Place the sensor end into the water or nutrient solution, staying below the maximum immersion line. Gently move the meter in the liquid to help release air bubbles around the sensor.

Wait for the reading on the screen to settle. This usually takes about 10 seconds. Once the reading is stable, press the hold button if you want to lock the result on the display before removing the meter from the liquid.

The TDS-3 reads total dissolved solids in ppm. If a flashing x10 symbol appears on the screen, multiply the displayed number by 10 to get the correct ppm reading.

To check temperature, turn the meter on and press the temp button. The screen will switch to temperature mode in Celsius. Press the temp button again to return to TDS mode.

After testing, rinse the sensor end with de-ionized, distilled, or filtered water to help remove leftover minerals or nutrient residue. Shake off excess water, then replace the protective cap before storing the meter.

Do not submerge the entire meter or dip it past the maximum immersion line, as the unit is not fully waterproof. The TDS-3 does not require storage solution.
