TrolMaster Aqua-X Water Detector - WD-1

TrolMaster Aqua-X Water Detector - WD-1 is a water detector for the Aqua-X irrigation control system, built for leak detection and irrigation water verification in automated grow spaces.

In leak detection mode, the WD-1 monitors for unwanted water on floors or in sensitive areas and triggers a water leak alarm. When a leak is detected, the system can send an alert to your smartphone, and the alarm can also be viewed on the Aqua-X controller. This kind of flood alert support is useful for protecting equipment zones, walkways, and any area where drips or overflows can become a bigger issue fast.

The WD-1 can also operate as a water-verification monitor. In this mode, a controlled pump or solenoid output can be assigned to the detector so the system can confirm that water is actually being delivered when an irrigation event runs. If water is not detected within the verification window, the Aqua-X can generate an irrigation failure alert, helping you catch problems tied to blocked lines, empty tanks, or device failure before plants are affected.

Designed for day-to-day usability, the WD-1 includes an lcd display for easy operation plus an addressing button for quick identification inside a multi-device setup. It also supports daisy chain water detectors to expand the leak detection monitoring area across larger rooms. For Aqua-X Pro users, the WD-1 can also be used in a pair to enable the auto-fill function for nutrient tanks by monitoring high and low water levels.

One important limitation: the WD sensors are intended to detect municipal water, well water, or nutrient-infused water. Reverse osmosis water may have dissolved solids content that is too low for the detector to sense reliably.
