Superthrive Super Thrive is a concentrated plant vitamin solution made for transplanting, propagation, and ongoing plant vigor across a wide range of garden and hydroponic setups. It’s a plant tonic-style input for growers who want simple support around root development and stressful transitions.
This formula is built around kelp-derived plant nutrition and a small nitrogen profile, with an NPK of 0.5-0-0. It’s derived from kelp and includes thiamine hydrochloride (B1), giving you a compact, recognizable ingredient story without turning into a heavy fertilizer. If you’re looking for a gentle, low-number option that still brings a defined nutrient identity, this is that category.
Where this product stands out is in what it’s positioned to do for the plant. It helps root development, builds plant vigor, and helps reduce transplant shock, including for larger, established plantings. Those benefits make it a natural fit when you’re moving plants into a new container, resetting a garden bed, or keeping valuable ornamentals steady through handling and environmental swings.
It’s also broad in plant scope. The label calls out indoor plants and outdoor plants, along with flowers, seedlings, and trees and woody plants. It also names lawns and sports turf, plus orchids, making this a flexible option when your collection includes everything from houseplants to landscape projects. For growers who like one dependable “support” bottle that can show up in many parts of the garden, that versatility is a key buying reason.
System-wise, it’s listed for hydroponics and propagation, and it also references foliar spray on the label, which makes it suitable for foliar application where that approach is part of your routine. Additional listed application areas include hydroseeding, landscaping, reforestation, and water gardens, reinforcing that this is meant to travel well between different growing styles rather than being locked into a single niche.
This is a good fit for growers who want a kelp-derived plant vitamin solution with a low NPK and clear transplant-and-vigor positioning, especially for mixed plant collections that span indoor plants, outdoor plants, and propagation-focused work.

Total Nitrogen is important because it directly drives leafy growth, chlorophyll production, and overall growth speed, which sets the pace for the entire plant. It’s unique because the “total” number can include different nitrogen forms that behave differently in the root zone, meaning the same total amount can produce very different results depending on the nitrogen type and plant stage.
Water Insoluble Nitrogen is important because it acts like a slow-release nitrogen reserve that feeds plants steadily over time, which helps maintain consistent green growth and reduces sudden nutrient swings; it’s unique from faster nitrogen forms because it must be broken down in the root zone before plants can use it, so timing and soil conditions matter as much as the total nitrogen amount.
Water-soluble nitrogen is important because it dissolves in water and becomes available to plants quickly, helping drive fast green growth, strong photosynthesis, and rapid recovery from nitrogen deficiency. It’s unique because it works immediately rather than relying on slow breakdown or conversion, so it delivers faster results—but also requires more careful control to avoid overfeeding, soft growth, or nutrient imbalance.
Kelp extract supports plant growth by acting as a biostimulant that helps roots stay active, improves stress tolerance, and encourages steadier new growth without functioning like a heavy fertilizer. It’s unique because it influences plant processes and recovery more than it supplies major nutrients, so it works best as supportive “management help” rather than a direct N-P-K replacement.
