HM Digital EC/TDS Hydro Tester (COM-80) is a water-resistant ec/tds meter for nutrient testing, giving you fast electrical conductivity and total dissolved solids readings with temperature on one handheld conductivity meter.
Built for day-to-day water checks, it measures electrical conductivity (ec) and total dissolved solids (tds) in one compact tester, with a simultaneous temperature reading shown on the display. The large and easy-to-read lcd screen keeps results clear at a glance, which is especially useful when you’re doing quick spot checks and want a simple number you can track over time.
The COM-80 is designed with flexibility in mind through four scales, covering ec in µs and ms and tds in ppm with 0.5 (nacl) and 0.7 (442™) options. That makes it easier to align readings with the scale you prefer for your setup, without switching to a different meter. Automatic temperature compensation (atc) helps keep readings more consistent as water temperature shifts, supporting cleaner comparisons from one check to the next.
Everyday convenience features are built in for routine use. Digital calibration (push button) supports quick calibration across the meter’s range without extra complexity. The auto-off function helps conserve battery life when the meter is left on, while the data-hold function lets you freeze a reading for easier viewing. A low-battery indicator keeps you from getting caught off guard mid-check, and the water-resistant body is a practical fit for wet work areas.
In terms of performance, the COM-80 covers an ec range of 0–9990 µs and 0–9.9 ms, plus a tds range of 0–5000 ppm on the 0.5 scale and 0–8560 ppm on the 0.7 scale, with temperature readings from 1–55 °c. Accuracy is rated at ±2%, and the meter is factory calibrated with a 1413 µs solution. It also includes a protective cap and button cell batteries (lr44 or equivalent).
