Hanna Instruments HI1285-7 is a replacement multiparameter probe for pH, ec/tds, and temperature readings on the GroLine HI9814 meter, built for quick checks in nutrient solutions. It’s an all-in-one sensor probe designed to keep daily solution testing simple while still delivering stable, dependable measurements.

This 3-in-1 pre-amplified multiparameter probe combines the sensors into a single polypropylene body, so you can monitor pH, ec/tds, and temperature from one rugged probe. The pre-amplified pH electrode is designed to reduce the effects of electrical noise that can show up around common grow-room equipment, helping keep pH readings steadier during routine checks. It also features a cloth junction and a maintenance-free polymer gel electrolyte, pairing fast response with a design that’s well-suited to fertilizer solutions.

For conductivity, the probe uses an amperometric ec/tds sensor built around two stainless steel pins. This two-pin amperometric sensor is designed to measure dissolved ionic solids through conductivity, supporting clear ec/tds tracking in nutrient solutions. Because the ec/tds portion is integrated into the same body as the pH sensor, the HI1285-7 keeps multiparameter testing compact and easy to manage as a single handheld meter probe.

A built-in temperature sensor supports temperature compensated readings for both pH and ec/tds, helping results stay consistent when sample temperatures shift. That temperature compensation matters when you’re comparing readings across different zones, times of day, or solution changes, and it supports more reliable trend tracking without adding complexity to the process.

The pH sensing element is built with a low-temperature glass sensing bulb that’s protected by a guarded design intended to help minimize breakage from bumps and handling. The polypropylene body is chosen for durability and chemical resistance in demanding testing environments, making it a practical fit for greenhouses, hydroponics, and other agricultural applications where gear gets moved, rinsed, and handled often.

Connection is handled through a Quick Connect din connector designed for the HI9814 GroLine portable meter, making probe swaps straightforward when it’s time for replacement.
