Description

General Hydroponics FloraKleen is a clearing solution and maintenance solution for removing fertilizer residue that can build up in hydroponic systems, growing media and potting soils over time. It’s designed for growers who want a cleaner root-zone environment when fertilizer salts and residue start to accumulate and throw a system out of balance.

FloraKleen is formulated to dissolve away accumulated fertilizer salts, helping clear excess residue that can linger after regular fertilizer application. This salt clearing solution is also described as reducing excess and imbalanced fertilizers, which can be a practical advantage when a crop has been running rich and you want to bring things back toward a more even baseline. Another stated benefit is that it releases nutrient bond between plant and system, supporting better access to what’s already present in the root zone rather than leaving nutrition tied up in residue.

For timing, FloraKleen is positioned as a final flush option in the week before harvest. It’s also described as safe for hydroponic systems and media while plants are growing, which keeps it relevant beyond end-of-cycle cleanup and makes it a straightforward choice for ongoing garden maintenance when buildup becomes noticeable.

FloraKleen is listed for vegetables, herbs, fruits, flowers, and other high value crops. On the media side, it’s suited to rockwool, coco, potting mix, peat lite mix, in-ground soil, and water culture. That broad coverage makes it easy to keep the same clearing solution across different setups, whether you run recirculating hydroponic systems, container gardens, or traditional beds.

This is a good fit for growers who want a purpose-built clearing solution to help remove fertilizer residue, dissolve away accumulated fertilizer salts, and reduce excess and imbalanced fertilizers across hydroponic systems and common growing media, including rockwool, coco, and water culture.
