Advanced Nutrients Sensizym® is a grow medium conditioner—an enzyme formula for turning root zone waste into plant-available nutrition and supporting a cleaner, more active root zone. This hydroponics enzyme formula is built for growers who want stronger root-zone performance in both the vegetative stage and blooming stage.
Sensizym® features a proprietary blend of Xylanase, multiple forms of Cellulase, and Beta-Glucanase. These enzymes help convert debris and unused organic matter into bioavailable nutrients, so more of what’s already in the medium can become usable again. In the process, it transforms root zone waste into available nutrition while helping clear away the dead material that can build up around roots over time. The result is an optimized growing medium and root zone that supports steady, high-performing plant growth.
This grow medium conditioner also supports the living biology around your roots. Sensizym® feeds natural microbes by breaking down complex carbohydrates into simpler forms, which helps keep the rhizosphere functioning efficiently. When the root zone stays cleaner and more balanced, plants are better positioned for consistent nutrient absorption and stronger overall vigor through the full cycle.
System flexibility is part of the design. Sensizym® is specially designed for use with diverse hydroponic growing media and continuous liquid-feed growing systems such as aeroponics, drip irrigation and emitters, nft, flood and drain, and deep water culture. It’s also suited to regular watering and watering systems, with indoor / outdoor coverage, and it is listed as coco coir safe, making it easy to keep your root-zone support consistent across different setups.
For a compact facts layer, Sensizym® has a stated NPK of 0-0-0. Key active inputs are the enzyme blend of Xylanase, Cellulase, and Beta-Glucanase, selected to break down root-zone debris and help recycle nutrients already present in the medium. This is a good fit for growers who want an enzyme-based grow medium conditioner that supports a cleaner root zone, optimized nutrient availability, and reliable performance across hydroponics and coco coir systems.
Step-by-step mixing and feeding instructions for Advanced Nutrients Sensizym - 23 Litre.

Beta-glucanase is unique because it specifically targets beta-glucans, the structural components found in many fungal cell walls. This gives it a specialized role in clearing fungal debris, supporting plant immunity, and maintaining a clean root zone—functions that other enzymes do not directly perform.
Cellulase is important because it breaks down tough plant fibers (cellulose) that can otherwise build up around roots, reducing oxygen and slowing nutrient uptake; it’s unique because it improves root-zone cleanliness and organic breakdown rather than directly feeding the plant like most nutrients.
Enzymes speed the breakdown of organic leftovers into smaller molecules that roots and beneficial microbes can use, helping the root zone stay cleaner and nutrient availability feel steadier. They’re unique because they aren’t nutrients or living organisms, yet they can quickly change how efficiently the rhizosphere processes waste and releases usable compounds.
Xylanase is important because it breaks down tough plant fibers into smaller sugars that fuel beneficial microbes, helping nutrients cycle more steadily in the root zone—making it uniquely different from other enzymes that target proteins or starches instead of hemicellulose fibers.
