Botanicare Clearex is a liquid flushing product designed for periodic rinsing and the removal of excess salt buildup in soil or soilless grow media and hydroponic systems. This rinsing solution is built to address nutrient salt deposits that can build up over time and interfere with healthy nutrient movement in the root zone.
Excess salts are often tied to over-fertilization and high concentrations of mineral based nutrients in grow media. Botanicare Clearex is positioned to help correct that buildup, which can contribute to nutrient lockout and visible stress as plants struggle to maintain normal water balance. By targeting accumulated salts, Clearex is described as drawing salts away from plant roots and grow media, helping keep the root zone in a more stable state during a flush phase.
Clearex is also framed for end-of-cycle timing. It is described as supporting pre-harvest flushing at the end of a crop’s growth cycle, when growers want plants to process and assimilate internally stored nutrients rather than continue to carry excess residues in the media. In that context, Clearex is associated with enhancing overall crop flavors, with the same end-of-cycle approach linked to encouraging plants to work through excess nutrients.
For setup flexibility, Clearex is presented for container gardens as well as hydroponic systems, including recirculating setups where nutrient solutions are periodically changed. The product description emphasizes maintaining equilibrium during periodic or pre-harvest flushing, which is especially relevant for growers who want a consistent, repeatable way to clear accumulated salts without shifting the focus away from overall nutrition management.
As a compact facts layer, Clearex is described as electrolytes in a water-based solution. It is a liquid product that is completely soluble in water, which supports its role as a dedicated rinse product rather than a plant food. If your goal is to manage salt buildup, reduce the risk of nutrient lockout, and keep plants finishing cleanly through a flush window, Botanicare Clearex is a good fit for growers running soil, soilless media, or hydro systems who want a straightforward salt-clearing support product.

Electrolytes are dissolved, charged minerals that let plants move water and nutrients, maintain cell pressure, and power growth processes like photosynthesis and new tissue formation. They’re unique because balance and total strength matter as much as the individual nutrients, so too much or too little can cause “false deficiency” symptoms by blocking uptake or making the root zone too salty for normal water absorption.
